Sea View Yacht Club

Founded in 1893, Sea View Yacht Club is one of the UK's most distinctive sailing clubs and RYA Training Centres. Located on the Isle of Wight with spectacular views across the Solent, the Club serves more than 1,900 members and delivers a year-round programme of sailing, training, racing, hospitality and social events. Our sailing and training operations are at the heart of the Club. As an RYA-accredited Training Centre, we deliver over 1,200 training sessions annually, supporting members of all ages and abilities, alongside extensive schools and youth sailing programmes. In 2025, the Club was proud to receive the RYA Together on the Water Award, recognising our commitment to widening participation and creating inclusive opportunities to get afloat. Sea View Yacht Club operates one of the most active sailing programmes on the South Coast, including: A fleet of 13 Mermaid keelboats raced regularly throughout the season. One of the world's largest locally built one-design dinghy classes, the Sea View One-Design (SVOD). Extensive junior, youth and adult training programmes. RYA powerboat, instructor, first aid, navigation and VHF training courses. Beyond sailing, the Club is a vibrant hospitality and events venue, hosting regattas, championships, weddings, private functions, corporate events and a busy social calendar throughout the year.
