We’re looking for a Trainee Software Developer to join our 12-month development programme where you’ll learn, grow, and build real software used by thousands of creators.

You don’t need commercial experience - just curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a genuine love for coding.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, get hands-on with real projects, and develop the skills you need to become a full-time Software Engineer at Teemill.

What you’ll be doing

• Learning and developing skills in key technologies: PHP (Laravel), SQL, JavaScript (Vue.js), HTML & CSS.
• Building high-quality software features with guidance from experienced developers.
• Getting to grips with our codebase, tools, and software development lifecycle.
• Debugging, testing, and improving your code to professional standards.
• Taking part in code reviews, learning from feedback, and contributing to team discussions.
• Working in project teams to learn the full journey from design to deployment.
• Exploring how AI technologies can improve efficiency and creativity in your work.

What we’re looking for 

• A passion for coding, whether it’s from personal projects, education, or self-learning.
• Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Curiosity and the drive to learn new languages and technologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive mindset: you like figuring things out and improving how things work.
• (Bonus) Maths and Computer Science qualifications, GCSE and above (or equivalent)
