Salary £43365 to £50263 per annum
Hours 39 hours per week
Holiday 35 days per annum, plus bank holidays and given days at Christmas/New Year

About the Role
We are thrilled to announce the creation of an exciting new role within our College. This position represents a unique opportunity for an innovative individual to make a significant impact on our team and contribute to our continued success.
We’re looking for an innovative and inspiring Head of Quality to lead our quality assurance and improvement strategies across the college. This is a new and exciting leadership role ideal for someone who thrives on challenge, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You’ll lead a dedicated quality team, embed robust quality frameworks, and champion a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment. From preparing for Ofsted to supporting staff development, your leadership will help shape the future of education on the Isle of Wight.

What You’ll Be Doing
· Leading the college’s quality assurance and improvement efforts
· Managing the quality team and supporting curriculum departments
· Developing and implementing effective quality frameworks
· Leading the self-assessment process and preparing for Ofsted inspections
· Supporting staff through training, coaching, and monitoring
· Ensuring compliance with regulatory and awarding body standards
What We’re Looking For
· Qualifications: Degree-level education and a teaching qualification (PGCE or CertEd) are essential. Assessor/Verifier qualifications are a bonus.
· Experience: Proven leadership in a quality-focused role within further education, with a strong track record in teaching, training, and driving improvement.
· Knowledge: Deep understanding of FE, HE, apprenticeships, and the Ofsted inspection framework.
· Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret and act on quality data.
· Attributes: Adaptable, collaborative, and committed to confidentiality and high standards
