A part time position for a manager to run a well-established Island based charity shop has become available. The position is supported by a team of experienced Volunteers. This is the Island’s only charity shop supporting local people with Diabetes.

The management of The Diabetes Charity Shop in Ventnor, Isle of Wight which raises funds to support The IOW Diabetic Fund charity.
RETAIL SALES · Maximise income from donated stocks, ensuring the highest standard of display and merchandising. Maintain standard trading hours. · Ensure an effective system is maintained to organise the efficient collection of donations from the general public.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT · Ensure all staff/volunteers receive timely and ongoing training, development and feedback to ensure that they fulfil their duties to the best of their ability.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT · Maximise available resources of finance, staff, building and equipment to delver excellent standards whilst achieving financial targets as agreed with The IOW Diabetic fund committee.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT · Adhere to financial procedures laid down by the Committee and Charity Commission. Ensure maximum economy of resources and achieve best value for money.
VOLUNTEERS · Recruit and build a strong volunteer team who feel valued and supported. · Motivate the team.
HEALTH AND SAFETY · Ensure that all the Health and Safety requirements required by law in the charity shop are met.
SECURITY Maintain security of the charity shop building, contents and data as required by the General Data Protection Regulations.
