Vectis Housing Association are a Housing Association solely based on the Isle of Wight, we own and manage approximately 500 properties Island wide. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual with experience in building repairs and maintenance to join the Property Services Team. It is a varied role, and you will deliver a first-class service in responsive repairs and maintenance, meet our void and lettable standards, and oversee planned improvement programmes. Ensuring that contractors meet the high standards we expect, to all Vectis Housing owned stock and our Housing Association Lease Scheme properties.
To succeed in this role candidates must be self-motivated, highly organised and demonstrate a high level of property related knowledge across a broad spectrum of disciplines, when addressing a variety of issues and working with a range of partners.
To be considered for this role candidates must have minimum of A-C GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent and three A-Levels A-C or equivalent or can demonstrate 5+ years of working experience in a similar position or relevant profession. You must have excellent communication skills, a can-do approach, be able to think outside the box and a willingness to go the extra mile. You will need to demonstrate initiative, resilience and flexibility as well as being committed to ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
You will be required to travel for this role and have access to a car. A Full UK Driver’s License is essential. A Standard DBS Check will be undertaken for successful candidates.
