We are seeking a Fire Patroller, based at Ashey Station to join the operating team on a voluntary basis and contribute to a safe, enjoyable heritage rail experience. This is a causal seasonal role, on operating days, with training provided.

What you will do:

• Conduct regular visual patrols for fire hazards along the track. This may include use of a drone.
• Ensure adherence to railway safety rules and PPE equipment.
• Identify, report, and help mitigate fire risks.
• Notify the relevant authorities if/when necessary.

What we are looking for:

• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures; no prior firefighting experience needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions and walk on uneven surfaces.
• Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Availability to work on operating days, including weekends and holidays.
