An opportunity for an experienced assistant manager to join our friendly team at the award-winning Garlic Farm Restaurant!

The Garlic Farm in Newchurch is one of the Island's most popular tourist destinations and we provide a high-quality experience to our customers in our restaurant, shop and farm site. The restaurant has won multiple awards for consistently delivering locally sourced, quality food and has a reputation for an excellent level of service. The Garlic Farm is BCorp Certified and a Living Wage Employer and is committed to having a positive environmental and social impact. 

The ideal candidate will have restaurant management experience in a similar role, be confident to manage a team during shift, manage all front of house operations, operate tills, make barista coffees and have excellent customer service skills.

The role is four days per week including an evening shift and one day of the weekend with minimum 30 hours per week.

Skills and experience:

• Front of house management experience in a busy cafe or restaurant
• Excellent customer service skills and presentation
• Ability to make barista coffees (a bonus)
• Ability to work in a team
• Proactive, self-motivated and disciplined
• Ability to plan and prioritise
• Be able to remain calm under pressure
