Cook required for a small family run 20 bed residential care home.

Location: 22 Nelson Place, Ryde PO33 2ET

Hours: 3 days a week 7.30 - 4pm (25.5hrs contracted) across a 7 day week

Salary: Competitive 

We are looking for a caring and reliable Cook to join our friendly team at Victoria House, 20 bed care home. 

Come and join our kitchen team, working in our new refurbished kitchen! 

Our home has a warm, family feel, and we take pride in providing nutritous, home cooked meals that our residents enjoy. 

About the role:

* Prepare balanced, wholesome meals for our residents, taking into account individual dietary needs and preferences

* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times

* Be organised with maintaining kitchen documentation daily 

* Work closely with the care team to support residents wellbeing through food and mealtimes

* Working closely with the head cook

* Ensure the kitchen areas are clean, organised and welcoming

* Covering leave and sickness where required 

About you: 

* Previous experience of cooking is required

* Knowledge of food hygiene and allergen management

* A genuine passion for cooking and caring for others

* Team player with good communication and organisational skills 

* Experience within a care home setting is advantageous
