Credit Controller – WRS
WRS are looking for a motivated and proactive Credit Controller to manage the company’s accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. Based full time in our Newport office, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with credit control or accounts receivable experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive environment. The role is critical in maintaining healthy cash flow while building strong, professional relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the end-to-end credit control process

Proactively chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence

Help resolve customer invoice queries by liaising with internal teams

Update and maintain accurate customer account records

Monitor aged debt reports and highlight overdue or at-risk accounts to senior team members

Assist with setting up new customer accounts and maintaining credit limits

Support month-end activities, including customer statement runs and basic reconciliations

Input and submit the monthly direct debits

Adhere to company credit control policies and procedures
Skills & Experience Required

Experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a finance role
-
Good communication skills with a polite and professional telephone manner

Basic understanding of invoices, payments, and customer accounts

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and finance systems

Willingness to learn

Experience working in a high-volume customer environment
