Urban Saints Westbrook is a residential centre suitable for church, youth and school groups, set in 18-acres of mixed parkland near Ryde, on the Isle of Wight. 

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team at Westbrook, a residential centre on the Isle of Wight. This is a fixed-term, part-time position, offering 30 hours per week.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all those visiting and staying at the Centre. You will be a compassionate, reliable, and hardworking individual who is dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in their work, demonstrating attention to detail and a strong commitment to hygiene and safety standards. They should be  approachable, patient, and respectful, able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Abilities

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to build good working relationships with staff and residents.
- Sensitivity to the needs of young people and an understanding of safeguarding principles.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules.

Knowledge and Experience

- Proven experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, ideally in a residential or care setting.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning.
- Understanding of infection control practices and the ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Experience working in a residential centre (desirable).
- First aid training (desirable).
