About The Role:

You’ll be the calm, capable force behind the scenes—supporting our Health & Safety and Estates team to keep everything running safely and smoothly.

One minute you might be coordinating contractors for maintenance work (making sure every guideline is followed), the next you’ll be reconciling purchase orders, tracking Estates budgets, or preparing documentation for Health & Safety training sessions.

You’ll confidently welcome insurance safety inspectors during site visits, keep our Health & Safety and Estates records spotless and audit-ready, and help ensure we always get the best value and quality when ordering stock.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is hands-on and varied, giving you real impact across both campuses. You’ll help keep staff, students, and visitors safe by:

  • Monitoring and restocking First Aid boxes and defibrillators
  • Keeping safety notice boards fresh, relevant, and up to date
  • Auditing and maintaining safety signage across the College
  • Booking DSE assessments and arranging necessary equipment
  • Supporting fire drills and broader emergency preparedness
  • Collating First Aid reports, eye test documentation, and general H&S enquiries
  • Working with external partners (including the NHS) to arrange safety training
  • Monitoring first aid, evacuation chair, and MIDAS training levels College-wide

No two days are the same—but safety is always the priority.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths
  •  Experience in Health and Safety or Estates Administration
  • Understand compliance, legislation and best practice
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence, and have access to own vehicle with business use insurance
  •  Proven experience working in, and providing support in, a coordination/administrative role is essential due to the demands of the role
