Here at the Isle of Wight College we have an exciting opportunity to co-ordinate the delivery of our international activity programme. The programme provides Isle of Wight College students with the opportunity for educational and enrichment activities through visiting other countries for both cultural exchanges and work experience.
Responsibilities:
You will be co-ordinating and planning the delivery of international programmes for Isle of Wight College staff and students including booking flights and accommodation. You will liaise with partners overseas and curriculum areas within the college, to develop relationships and innovative programmes. You will also help to co-ordinate future funding applications, including for the Turing scheme and to the British Council. The department also welcomes groups of international students from different countries, which you would coordinate and help to prepare itineraries for.
What you will need to succeed:
You will need to be a highly effective project coordinator and administrator, with strong attention to detail. Ideally you will have experience of working on the planning and delivery of international exchange programmes, or be able to demonstrate how your skills and experience are transferable to this role. You will often be running multiple activities and you will need to be able to prioritise and manage your busy and varied workload, having highly effective communication with a wide a range of people. You will have experience of financial planning, risk management, compliance, audit and budget management.
You will hold a level 3 qualification ideally within business administration or travel/customer service.
A valid passport, driving licence and the willingness to travel is essential. Experience of budget monitoring and preparing project monitoring reports would also be beneficial.
Above all, you should be enthusiastic about promoting international exchange and developing links with both partners across the globe and employers here on the Island.
