About The Role:
Do you have experience working in the construction industry as a bricklayer, and would like to make a difference to the future of young people?
You will be able to support and inspire students. Alongside this, you will be able to deliver knowledge in the classroom, sharing the wealth of experience you have, teaching on a range of City & Guilds qualifications at Entry Level and Levels 1, 2 and 3 in Bricklaying.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or are currently working within industry and looking to take on some extra hours in the teaching profession, you would be thoroughly supported with any training needs you have. Our aim is to ensure that you are fully equipped to deliver the curriculum and support students gain the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their studies.
Key responsibilities:
· To plan and deliver lessons to a range of classes, maintaining a high-quality student learning experience
· To formally assess, giving appropriate feedback (written and oral) and maintaining records of students' progress and development
· Undertaking academic tutorial duties, supporting students on an individual basis through academic difficulties
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· Level 2 Qualifications in English and Maths
· A Level 3 Qualification in a relevant subject, or be willing to work towards
· Hold an endorsed Teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards within 3 years
· Practical experience of working in the industrial or commercial area is desirable
· Able to work under pressure, to be organised and prioritise own workload to meet deadline
