We are recruiting for a new member of staff in a thriving, family run engineering business.

We specialise in the manufacture of sheet metal and fabricated items, and as Engineering Administrator you will play a key role in the running of day to day office based activities.

The business is fast paced, and you will be required to be diverse, fast thinking and dynamic, with an ability to communicate clearly, take instruction well and initiative where required.

You will be the first point of contact for existing and prospective customers and as such need to present well. You will also need to build key relationships with suppliers to ensure a good working relationship, aiding procurement activities.

You must be trustworthy, take responsibility for your role and actions and above all, work in an organised logical manor, and work well under pressure when required.

Candidates will need to be competent users of MS programs including Word and Excel.

Day to day tasks include but are not limited to the following:

Requesting and processing material / consumble quotations,

Procurement - Placing and receiving orders using our MRP system,

Arranging Transport and delivery of incoming and outgoing goods,

Dealing with problems, rejects and questions to and from customers.

Basic knowledge of an engineering environment would be helpful, for example a top level understanding of drawings and material types etc but is not essential. On site training will be provided for the use of our MRP system along with roles and responsibilities in general.

Working hours are 39 hours per week,

8am - 5pm Mon - Thurs

8am - 1.30pm - Friday
