CECAMM – Whippingham (Satellite Site of the Isle of Wight College)
The Isle of Wight College is continuing to grow its engineering provision and is looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Lecturer to join CECAMM, our Centre of Excellence for Composites, Advanced Manufacturing and Marine, based at our satellite site in Whippingham.
CECAMM works closely with employers and has strong relationships with international engineering and manufacturing companies. Our learners achieve high progression and achievement rates, reflecting the quality of our facilities, teaching, and industry links.
You do not need previous teaching experience to apply. If you are currently working in engineering and would like to pass on your skills and experience, the College will provide full training and support to help you move into teaching.
To attract specialist engineering expertise, this role includes a market supplement in addition to the standard lecturer salary.
The Role
You will deliver engaging engineering sessions, using your industry knowledge to prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships, or higher education. Full mentoring and support will be provided to help you develop confidence and skills in teaching.

You will have:
- A relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND or higher preferred)
- Practical industry experience and knowledge of modern engineering practices
- Good communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting learners
Teaching experience or a teaching qualification is not required and can be gained while in post with full College support.

A Market Supplement up to £3,000 may also be available for this position, based on experience and qualifications. This is an additional payment that may be made to you in addition to your salary above, which is subject to review annually.
