ISM (IOW) Ltd is a well-established, forward-thinking business with a strong focus on quality and reliability. We are looking for a motivated, adaptable individual to join our team as a Shop Hand & Delivery Driver.
Role Overview:
This is a varied and hands-on role that involves both driving and workshop-based tasks. You will be responsible for transporting goods between sites and to customers, assisting in shop floor duties, and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver finished and in-process goods between sites and to customers, including weekly mainland deliveries.

Safely operate a medium wheel base curtain sided van for deliveries (confidence driving a van of this size is essential).

Carry out manual handling tasks such as moving materials, parts, and products.

Assist with workshop duties including deburring, assembling, labelling, packing, and stock control.

Collect and dispose of scrap material.

Ensure all goods are properly prepared, labelled, and presentable before delivery.

Act as a professional representative of ISM when interfacing with customers.

Support colleagues in a variety of tasks to maintain a smooth workflow.
Requirements:

Clean driving licence is essential.

Confidence and experience driving vans.

Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting on a regular basis.

Strong “can-do” work ethic with flexibility to take on varied tasks.

Good communication skills – confident, literate, and professional.

Team player who integrates well with colleagues while being capable of working independently.

Presentable and professional when dealing with customers.

Forklift experience/licence is preferable (training may be provided for the right candidate).
