We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, motivated and professional Support Workers to join our team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support within adult mental health services and Ofsted-registered supported accommodation.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to live safely, build independence, and achieve positive and meaningful outcomes. You will work in a person-centred and trauma-informed way, building professional and trusting relationships while promoting emotional well-being, dignity, and respect.

The role involves supporting individuals with daily living skills, emotional regulation, and access to community-based resources, including housing, education, employment, and health services. You will advocate on behalf of the people we support, respond appropriately to crisis situations, and ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed at all times.

This role involves lone working within a home environment, as well as close collaboration with a skilled and supportive team, to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where individuals can thrive. Maintaining accurate and confidential records, professional boundaries, and compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulatory standards is essential to the role.

The position is offered on a rota basis, covering days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties, as part of a 24/7 service. Although the role is rota based and rota's always need to meet the needs of the service, currently our staff typically work three shifts per week in week one and two shifts a week in week two (£33,885), or three shifts in both week one and week two (£40,662). Our Rota's are published 6 - 8 weeks in advance and we believe our well planned rota's support a healthy work-life balance, whilst providing a good income with potential for overtime available to increase earnings further.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver safe, consistent, and high-quality support in line with individual support plans
* Build positive, trauma-informed relationships that promote trust, independence, and emotional safety
* Support individuals with daily routines, independent living skills, and emotional well-being
* Recognise, respond to, and report safeguarding concerns, risks, and incidents appropriately
* Contribute to risk assessments, behaviour support strategies, and support plans
* Support access to education, employment, training, healthcare, and community services
* Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records
* Ensure the home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, external professionals, and partner agencies

Essential Requirements

* Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries
* Ability to build positive, non-judgmental relationships

* Self-motivated with a positive mindset and solutions-focused approach
* Strong emotional resilience and the ability to respond calmly in challenging situations
* Confidence working independently and as part of a wider team
* Strong verbal and written skills
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Desirable

* Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Residential Childcare, or equivalent
* Experience within adult mental health services or Ofsted-regulated services.
* Trained in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, or mental health support
* Experience working with vulnerable adults or young people, including those with mental health needs, is desirable; however, we welcome applications from candidates with transferable life skills, relevant personal experience, with a great attitude and a passion to develop in this industry.
