St Catherine’s is seeking a hard-working and enthusiastic individual to join our busy and energetic team as a Communication Support Worker, providing communication support to a deaf student to facilitate full inclusion in all parts of school life.  
 
The successful applicant will already have a level of signing competency (BSL) and be willing to undertake training up to and including British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3.

This is a full-time post – 35 hours per week during term time plus 5 days.

Salary dependent on level of signing experience.  In the range £22,104-£23,668 Actual

Start date – 1st September 2025 

Note – a commitment to undertaking necessary training is a requirement of this role.  Due to the level of training input there is a requirement that the appointed Communication Support Worker commit to continuing employment for at least three years following completion of training.  You should note that training might be outside your normal working hours and no additional payment will be made in this respect.

This role is to support a named student (joining September 2025) and as such will be maintained whilst the student is on roll.  Should the student leave prior to the commitment of employment above no payback of training will apply.
