Carers required for the following;

Cowes - morning shifts 7am - 2pm and/or evening shifts 4pm - 9:30pm

Newport - evenings shifts 4pm - 9:30pm

Ventnor - evenings shifts 4pm - 9:30pm

Other areas and hours are available

Each client's needs are different and daily tasks can include;

Home help: 

• Run errands / collect prescriptions 
• Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants etc.)
• Organise and tidy cupboards and check food expiry dates
• Plan, prepare and tidy away meals
• Answer the door
• Assist with pet care
• Provide Dementia / Alzheimer care
• Provide respite / convalescence care
• Assist with morning/wake up and or evening/tuck in

Companionship:

• Offer companionship and conversation
• Monitor diet, eating and hydration
• Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (for example clothing selection, hobbies and crafts)
• Arrange and provide reminders for appointments, activities and outings
• Help with travel arrangements
• Organise mail and write letters
• Assist with walking (lending an arm to steady)
• Accompany to appointments and social events (for example visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings)

Assisting with personal care:

• Prompting and administering medications
• Supporting with washing, dressing and bathing
• Help with continence care
• Applying topical creams and assisting with stockings

Qualifications

Full UK Driving License is required due to some clients living remotely

Currently recruiting Female carers due to client preference

Full training will be provided. No previous care experience necessary. We are looking for people from across the community who share in our values to provide compassionate care and get to know our clients as you would your own family
