Support Workers – Residential, Supported Living, Community and Complex Support
Milford Del Support Services is growing, and we are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Workers to join our teams across the Isle of Wight.
We currently have opportunities available across a range of services, including residential care, supported living, community support and complex support.

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with a range of care and support needs. Depending on the service, this may include supporting people in their own homes, within residential settings, in supported living environments or in the community.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing support with daily living activities
- Supporting individuals with personal care where required
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Supporting people to go out take part in meaningful activities
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and support plans
- Supporting individuals with emotional, physical, mental health or behavioural needs
- Accurately recording daily notes, observations and any concerns
- Working professionally with colleagues, managers, families and healthcare professionals
- Maintaining professional boundaries
- Ensuring safeguarding is always prioritised

Requirements
We are looking for people who are caring, dependable and willing to learn. Requirements may vary depending on the service, but applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- A caring and respectful approach towards others
- Reliability, professionalism and good timekeeping
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- The ability to follow care plans, support plans, risk assessments and company policies
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of the people we support
- The ability to remain calm, respectful and professional in different situations
- Willingness to complete required training and ongoing development
- Basic written skills to complete records and daily notes accurately
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, which may include days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins or waking nights depending on the role
Previous experience in care or support is helpful, but not always essential. Full training will be provided.
Desirable, But Not Essential
- Previous experience in residential care, supported living, community care or complex support
- Experience supporting individuals with additional needs, mental health needs, physical disabilities or complex behaviours
- Relevant care qualification, such as NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Full UK driving licence, depending on the role and service needs
