Deputy Manager
Location: Lake View Care Home, Blackwater, Newport, PO30 3BJ
Salary: £36,500 per year
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective leadership and day-to-day management of our care home. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to progress into a senior management role within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager in leading all departments including administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required, ensuring continuity of high-quality service delivery
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety, dignity, and wellbeing for residents
- Oversee care planning, accurate documentation, health monitoring, and medication administration procedures
- Support staff supervision, appraisals, training, and development
- Assist with rota planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix
- Contribute to quality assurance, audits, inspections, and action planning
- Support financial accountability and budget management in line with agreed plans
What we’re looking for:
- NVQ/QCF Level 4 (or above) in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management
- Previous experience working within a care environment
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Financial awareness with a willingness to develop management and budgeting skills
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care

Experience:
- Dementia Care: 1 year (required)
- Residential Care Home Management: 1 year (required)
