Deputy Manager

Location: Lake View Care Home, Blackwater, Newport, PO30 3BJ
Salary: £36,500 per year
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the effective leadership and day-to-day management of our care home. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to progress into a senior management role within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Registered Manager in leading all departments including administration, care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance
• Deputise for the Registered Manager when required, ensuring continuity of high-quality service delivery
• Ensure compliance with CQC standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety, dignity, and wellbeing for residents
• Oversee care planning, accurate documentation, health monitoring, and medication administration procedures
• Support staff supervision, appraisals, training, and development
• Assist with rota planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix
• Contribute to quality assurance, audits, inspections, and action planning
• Support financial accountability and budget management in line with agreed plans

What we’re looking for:

• NVQ/QCF Level 4 (or above) in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management
• Previous experience working within a care environment
• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills
• Financial awareness with a willingness to develop management and budgeting skills
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
