Hants Healthcare Ltd is looking for passionate and experienced support workers to join our fantastic organisation. This role would require individuals to be enthusiastic and willing to provide support to individuals to enable them to access their communities, in addition to this to provide the assistance they may need with all aspects of their daily needs. Due to the nature of Hants Healthcare Care Ltd every day is different, and we aim to provide support to enable staff to safely carry out their work.

Summary:

A compassionate, motivated, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our Supported Living services. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Supported Living Manager to ensure high-quality care and support is delivered to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or other complex needs. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for leading staff, supporting service users to live as independently as possible, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the service, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Lead, support, and supervise a team of Support Workers, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Ensure the service meets regulatory and quality standards (e.g., CQC, safeguarding requirements).
  • Act as a key worker or lead professional for designated individuals, ensuring person-centred approaches are maintained.
  • Support service users with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, medication management, budgeting, and community activities.
  • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion in all areas of support.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, including incident reports, risk assessments, and support plans.
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.

 

 

 


Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in a supported living or social care setting.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent); working towards Level 5 desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, mental capacity, and person-centred planning.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a team.
  • Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.


Desirable:

  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs or behaviours that challenge.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice in supported living.

Pay: £12.21-14.80 dependant on experience

12-hour shift

Day shift- 7am-2pm & 2pm-10pm

Night shift 10pm -7am

Sleep in 10-7am

Workdays: Monday- Friday and every other weekend.

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Diploma in Adult Social Care Level 2/3

Driving Licence (preferred)

Apprenticeship Standard

  • Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care

18 Months + 3 Months End Point Assessment

Functional Skills if not already achieved a GCSE C (or above) in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification

There is a requirement to complete off job training, College attendance will contribute but time spent either learning something new, other courses or any support work you that is not your usual role will also be counted

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £7.55 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
