Victoria House is a small 20 bed residential care home located by the sea in a quiet area in Ryde. 

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our friendly team and provide high quality care to our residents throughout the night. 

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting individuals to feel safe, comfortable, and respected in their home. 

About the Role:

As a Night Care Assistant, you will be responsible for the wellbeing of our residents during the night shift. You will ensure they are supported with dignity and respect, promoting independence wherever possible. 

Key Responsibilities:

Providing personal care

Supporting residents with mobility and repositioning

Carrying out regular night checks and ensuring resident safety

Responding promptly to call bells

Maintaining accurate records using our digital platform 

Light housekeeping duties including cleaning & Ironing

Offering reassurance and emotional support

Keeping the environment clean, calm, and safe 

About You:

Kind, caring, and patient nature 

Reliable and able to work night shifts

Good communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Previous care experience is desirable but not essential (full training provided)

What we are looking for:

Our working patterns are on a rolling Week 1 and Week 2 basis, the shifts would be as follows:

Week 1:

Monday 7pm - 7am

Wednesday 7pm - 7am

Saturday 7pm - 7am

Week 2:

Monday 7pm - 7am

Wednesday 7pm - 7am

Thursday 7pm - 7am 

Contracted Hours each week: 

36hrs a week
