About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Wakeful Night Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents throughout the night, ensuring their comfort, dignity, safety, and wellbeing.
You will play an important role in responding to residents' needs, carrying out regular checks, assisting with personal care, and maintaining a calm and supportive environment during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred care and support to residents during the night.
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence care.
- Conducting regular welfare and safety checks.
- Supporting residents with mobility and repositioning where required.
- Responding promptly to call bells and emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate care records and handover notes.
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent standards of care.
What We're Looking For
- A caring, compassionate, and patient nature.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and flexibility to work wakeful night shifts, 20:00-08:00.
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided.
- A commitment to promoting residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential).
