JOB PURPOSE:
To support the smooth and effective running of the domiciliary care service by managing recruitment, onboarding of staff and clients, administrative systems, communication, social media, and engaging with the local community. The role will also support operational needs including on-call duties and covering care calls where required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
RECRUITMENT & ONBOARDING:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment of care staff
- Conduct interviews and pre-employment checks
- Complete onboarding paperwork and compliance requirements
- Ensure safe recruitment practices are followed
CLIENT ONBOARDING:
- Support onboarding of new clients
- Act as a first point of contact for new enquiries
- Ensure all documentation and care records are accurately completed
ADMINISTRATION & COMMUNICATION:
- Support the team with all areas of administrative work
- Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently
- Direct calls to the appropriate member of the team
- Take accurate messages and ensure timely follow-up
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Update and manage care systems
SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:
- Create and post engaging content across platforms
- Promote the service within the local community
- Attend community events and build local relationships
- Act as a professional and positive face of the service
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Participate in the on-call rota as required
- Respond to emergencies and staffing issues
- Support with covering care calls during staff sickness or shortages
- Ensure continuity and quality of care at all times
COMPLIANCE:
- Ensure all processes align with regulatory requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and GDPR standards
- Support audits and inspections where required
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL:
- Experience in domiciliary care
- Strong understanding of care service operations
- Excellent communication and telephone manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
DESIRABLE:
- Experience in recruitment, administration, or coordination
- Social media or marketing experience
OTHER:
- Professional, approachable, and reliable
- Confident communicating with staff, clients, and professionals
- Flexible and willing to support hands-on care when required
