We are now seeking a confident, organised, and values-driven Team Coordinator to lead and support our Adult Mental Health Service - supported living provision.
About the Role
The AMH Team Coordinator plays a key leadership role within our adult mental health service, providing day-to-day coordination, guidance, and oversight across the staff team and service. You will work closely with senior management to ensure safe staffing, consistent practice, and high standards of support.
This role involves completing staff supervisions, supporting rota planning, overseeing practice quality, and acting as a point of contact for staff working across our Adult Mental Health Service. You will be visible, supportive, and solution-focused, helping teams to manage risk, respond to challenges, and deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support.
You will contribute to a positive team culture where staff feel confident to raise concerns, reflect on practice, and continuously develop their skills, in line with safeguarding expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day coordination and operational oversight of adult services
- Complete regular staff supervisions, including reflective practice and well-being support
- Support rota planning to ensure safe staffing, continuity of care, and service coverage
- Offer guidance and decision-making support to staff, including on-call oversight where required
- Monitor practice standards and promote consistent, trauma-informed approaches
- Support staff in managing risk, safeguarding concerns, and incidents appropriately
- Liaise with senior managers, external professionals, and partner agencies as needed
- Support the induction, development, and ongoing competency of staff
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with organisational policies and expectations
- Promote a positive culture of accountability, reflection, learning, and professionalism across the team
Essential Requirements
- Experience working within adult mental health, supported living, or a similar environment
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and professional boundaries
- Experience completing or contributing to staff supervision and support
- Ability to lead, support, and motivate staff in a calm, confident, and compassionate manner
- Strong organisational skills, including confidence with rota planning and service coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to make proportionate, well-reasoned decisions, including outside of standard hours
- Emotional resilience and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Desirable
- Level 3 or above qualification in Health & Social Care, Leadership & Management, or equivalent
- Experience in a supervisory, senior support, or coordination role
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and mental health support models
- Experience supporting staff through complex or challenging situations
