Wightcare is the Island’s provider of Care Technology and spends every day working hard to support a variety of people across the Island.
We provide peace of mind 24 hours a day to local families while maintaining people’s independence and improving their confidence.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Responder, this varied role requires a sympathetic and caring individual and covers the whole Island, so you’ll need to have a full driving license.
Could you be a great asset to our team and provide the following skills?
- Assist the clients we care for in an emergency by providing first aid, personal care and manual handling in a safe manor, minimising risk
- Support clients through life’s events, offering guidance, comfort, support and reassurance.
- Visit clients in their home to install and inspect basic assistive technology equipment to enable independence.
- Accurately maintain records to the required standard.
- Follow all policies and procedures which apply to the job.
- Co-operate with and support colleagues.
You may be required to work additional shifts to support with the delivery of the service as requested by the Wightcare Management team.
Along with support you will be offered training and development opportunities and encouraged to actively participate in team meetings.
No previous experience of care is necessary but a passion and commitment for looking after others is essential.
