Landscaper Job Description

Garden Landscaping, building various private and commercial gardens across the Isle of Wight. Duties include all aspects of proffesional landscape gardening, including surfaces, boundaries, water, plants, lighting, carpentarty, stone and brick work, render, paving, decking, structures, metal work, driveways, retaining walls and plant machinery and so on.

As landscaper you will be responsible for creating high end projects and working with the landscaping department.

The Landscapers main tasks are:

• Physically landscaping.
• Team working with landscaping colleagues.
• Delivering landscaping projects from start to finish.
• Implementing and following H&S for landscaping projects.
• Creating Risk assesments and Method Statements and implementing.
• Involved in customer, public and supplier relations for projects.
• Implementing sustainable landscaping gardening practices and materials.
• Competent and safe use of all plant, tools, hand and powered.
• Working at height using ladders.
• Waste transfers and waste management including good practice of composting green waste.
• Reading and interpreting topograhical plans, scaled drawings, construction details, garden designs, planting plans.
• Creating construction plans and drawings.
• Working as part of a team and on occasion individually.
• Shared driving of works vehicles, including diesel, petrol, manual vans and EVs.
• Following written and verbal instruction from the company owner, office and other senior colleagues.
• Recording and reporting daily, weekly and monthly work duties.
• Involved in and reporting on project planning, and briefs and debriefing.
