ERMC Rangers is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Lawncare Specialist to join our growing grounds maintenance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality lawn care services across a variety of commercial, public, and private sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for turf management, horticulture, and outdoor work who takes pride in maintaining lawns to the highest standards.
You will also be required, where necessary, to help out within our grounds maintenance team on our core sites when busy.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out lawn maintenance operations including mowing, edging, scarification, aeration, overseeding, and top dressing.
- Apply fertilisers, herbicides, and pest control treatments in accordance with legislation and manufacturer guidance.
- Diagnose and treat lawn diseases, weeds, pests, and turf quality issues.
- Operate and maintain lawncare machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations for lawn improvement programmes.
- Complete daily work records, treatment logs, and health and safety documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures.
- Assist with wider grounds maintenance activities when required.
- Organising appointments with clients and managing schedules.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in lawncare, grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
- Sound knowledge of turf management practices.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to grounds maintenance.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- PA1 and PA6 pesticide application certificates.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Horticulture, Turf Management, or Grounds Maintenance.
- Experience operating pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and turf renovation techniques.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
