Vikoma is a world leader in environmental sector in the design and manufacture of oil recovery and oil spill response equipment. Our expert team of 60 supports an international market from an Isle of Wight based facility.

Based in East Cowes Isle of Wight, this is a busy and key role supporting our purchasing manager with order placement, progressing and maintenance of the MRP system.

Main responsibilities:

• Purchasing sub-contact and purchased parts ensuring value for money at the required quality.
• Assisting with new and ongoing supplier evaluations and resolving supplier support cases.
• Maintenance of MRP system data.
• Liaising with stores to resolve queries on deliveries
• Interface with our Production department re. Purchase Order schedules
• Expediting orders for on time delivery

Desired skills:

• Previous experience in a purchasing role using an MRP system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Competent use of IT including Microsoft software, namely Excel and other related applications
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as a team member as well as individually
• Good numeracy and analytical skills
• Ability to follow policy and procedures
