WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Front of House Manager with proven experience managing a diverse and successful team in the hospitality industry.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, a passion for industry trends, hands-on capabilities, and a supportive approach to staff training and development. They will be technically proficient, computer literate, and a core senior leader within the Club’s staff team.
We need someone who is business-savvy, hardworking yet approachable, dedicated, and flexible, with outstanding service skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced hospitality environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and ensure the successful delivery of all Club social activities, either directly or through effective delegation to team members and supervisors.
- Collaborate with the Club Secretary, Sailing Event Manager, and Head Chef to manage and develop the Club’s Food and Bar Service and Event portfolio.
- Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness across the restaurant, bar, Clubhouse, and outdoor service areas.
- Work towards and be accountable for budgets and forecasts related to staffing and income, with oversight from the Club Secretary.
- Manage bar stock, negotiate with suppliers, and set pricing.
- Implement and maintain technical systems to support operations, including EPOS and HR management platforms (knowledge of ICR Till systems is advantageous).
- Ensure all staff are onboarded and managed in line with company HR policies.
- Recruit, train, coach, and support the team to deliver exceptional service while fostering a fun and positive work environment.
- Drive continuous improvement and change within the department.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven team management experience in the hospitality industry, with knowledge of all restaurant and bar functions. You’ll lead by example, getting involved and ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage (F&B) operations and current industry trends.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding service across all areas of the restaurant and bar.
- Excellent communication skills across a variety of platforms, with the ability to adapt your style to suit individuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with team members and the diverse membership base.
- Financial acumen, including the ability to manage budgets, analyse figures, and ensure financial efficiency.
- Well-presented, passionate, and approachable.
- Personal Licence holder (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other management systems (training provided as needed).
- Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Problem-solving skills and the initiative to improve systems and processes.
