About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician to be part of a newly created electrical department here at Wight Shipyard. We are looking for qualified electricians, who have experience of the preparation and construction of electrical works and / or significant experience in the field of electrical installations; ideally, although not essentially, aquired within the shipbuiding industry.
The ideal candidiates will have the following knowledge and experience;
> Fully qualified / certified to UK electrical standards
> Previous proven experience of working in manufacturing environment. Ideally this would be within the aluminium ship building industry, although this is not esssential.
> Ability to read and interpret plans, teechnical data sheets and supplier documentation.
> Good sound knowledge of current electrical standards and safety rules
The ideal candidate will be a true team player; be happy to work within an evolving team environment and be comfortable in putting forward ideas and solutions to support the development and success of this new team.
