We are looking for an experienced boatbuilder/marine joiner to join our small friendly team at A A Coombes Ltd in Bembridge.  The position is offered on a part time, self-employed basis.  We are a busy boatyard with year round activity, repairing and maintaining all types of boats and building fibreglass dinghies. 

Job Description:

- Repair and restoration of timber boats

- Internal and external marine joinery

- Inboard engine installation

- Mast and spar construction

- Painting and varnishing

- Yard maintenance

Requirements:

- Previous marine joinery experience

- Experience using and maintaining all relevant woodwork tools and machinery

- Familiarity with Health and Safety requirements

- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative

- Able to work as part of a small team

- Comfortable interacting with customers

- Have a practical, enthusiastic and cheerful approach to all challenges

- Full driving licence
