Job Description
The Head of Business Development is responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading the execution of Teemill’s new business growth. This role exists to identify, attract, and secure high value partnerships that align with Teemill’s mission to build the most sustainable supply chain on Earth. The successful candidate will lead, grow and inspire a high performing new business team and deliver results that shape the future of the company.
Responsibilities
- Define, own, and deliver the strategy for new business acquisition across core and emerging markets.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Business Development professionals to meet commercial and strategic objectives.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with high profile brands, retailers, NGOs, designers, and creators.
- Oversee prospecting strategies and outreach initiatives to maximise lead quality and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Operations) to align business development with company-wide priorities and innovation.
- Lead commercial negotiations and relationship-building with senior-level decision-makers.
- Track, manage, and report on the new business sales pipeline, ensuring timely updates, clear forecasting and practical recommendations.
- Represent Teemill externally at key events and meetings, acting as a spokesperson and thought leader within the sustainable fashion and circular economy space.
- Maintain a deep understanding of emerging trends, market shifts, and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Qualifications
- Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong interest and/or experience in sustainability and circular business models.

- Exceptional relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
- High level of creativity, drive, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

Minimum 7 years experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership roles.

Demonstrable experience delivering new business growth, ideally in sustainability, fashion, SaaS, or tech-enabled product sectors.

Proven track record in team leadership, account acquisition and commercial negotiation.

Strong experience of strategic planning, forecasting and reporting to senior stakeholders.
