Are you someone who brings energy, creativity, and compassion to everything you do? Do you love working with people and have a genuine interest in supporting older adults to live life to the fullest?
We’re looking for a vibrant, organised, and caring Lifestyle Co-ordinator (also known as Activities Co-ordinator) to join our team at The Limes – a warm, family-run care home with a strong sense of community and a passion for meaningful engagement.
About Us
The Limes is an award-winning, family-run residential care home located in the heart of Bembridge. We have a long-standing reputation for exceptional care, warmth, and a true sense of belonging. Our team is passionate about creating a homely environment where residents are supported to live fulfilling, connected lives. At The Limes, you're not just joining a workplace – you're joining a family.
About the Role
As our Lifestyle Co-ordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of our home’s social life – helping to plan and deliver a range of engaging activities, events, and one-to-one moments that support our residents’ emotional, social, and mental wellbeing.
You’ll work under the guidance of our award-winning Lifestyle Lead, whose passion and creativity have helped shape a vibrant and inclusive activities programme. You’ll also be trusted to run your own projects and bring fresh ideas to life. From art sessions to garden walks, from reminiscence activities to tech-based games – your role is to ensure every resident feels connected, valued, and uplifted.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and leading group and individual activities that reflect residents’ interests and needs
- Supporting residents to maintain hobbies or try new ones
- Helping to organise celebrations, theme days, visiting entertainers, and trips out
- Keeping activity records and contributing to care planning
- Working closely with the care and kitchen teams to ensure a joined-up approach
- Supporting wellbeing across the home through laughter, companionship, and encouragement
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, positive, and a natural communicator
- Organised and able to plan ahead while responding flexibly to the day
- Comfortable using a computer for basic admin tasks including email, Word, and activity planning
- Passionate about older people and building meaningful connections
- Creative – with ideas for everything from rainy day games to community partnerships
- Able to work some weekends as part of a rota
Experience in a care setting is helpful but not essential – the right attitude is what matters most. If you have a background in events, arts, teaching, support work or similar – we’d love to hear from you.
What We Offer
- Full-time role with alternative weekends off
- A happy, supportive working environment where your ideas are welcomed
- Competitive pay and employee recognition
- Private healthcare after qualifying period
- Ongoing training and development
- Enhanced DBS paid for by the home
- The chance to be part of a truly special team making a real difference
If you’re ready to bring joy, creativity, and compassion into every working day, we’d love to hear from you.
