About us
Trusted Homecare is an independent, Island based care provider operating from Branstone on the outskirts of Newport. As part of our commitment to provide exceptional care to individuals who require support, we launched The Community Care Centre in September 2025! We are thrilled that due to expansion, we now seek a Part Time Activities Coordinator to join our team!
We are looking at the role initially starting at 16 hours per week, this role has the potential to increase hours if the successful applicant chooses as The Community Care Centre expands its services.
We are looking for a warm, creative and highly organised Activities Coordinator to join Trusted Homecare working from The Community Care Centre. This role plays a vital part in providing respite, companionship and meaningful engagement for individuals who require additional support, including older adults and people living with mild Dementia or other care needs.
You will curate, organise and actively participate in a varied and stimulating programme of activities and events that enhance wellbeing, promote independence and improve quality of life. Working closely with individuals, families and the wider care team, you will ensure activities reflect the wishes, preferences and abilities of those who attend the service.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role for someone who genuinely believes in celebrating life and creating joyful, inclusive experiences every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan and deliver a varied programme of group and individual activities that promote social engagement, wellbeing and independence
- Build positive relationships with individuals and their families to understand preferences, life histories and support needs
- Ensure activities are inclusive and adaptable, supporting individuals with a range of needs from low-level support through to those who live with higher care needs
- Encourage participation and foster companionship within a safe, welcoming environment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of activities delivered
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support a high-quality, person-centred service
About You
You will be a positive, empathetic and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for supporting adults and older people to live fulfilling lives. You enjoy bringing people together, thinking creatively and making things happen.

Previous experience in a community or activities-based role is preferred. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.
