The Garlic Farm is a renowned attraction for Islanders and visitors. Our brilliant team is made up of individuals who enjoy being part of this thriving and beautiful environment and have a hardworking approach.
We now have an opportunity available for a Shop Assistant to join the retail team in our award-winning Garlic Farm Shop on a flexible basis. We expect approx. 20+ hours per week for the remainder of the summer season, until the end of October, with potentially the possibility of some hours continuing into the winter for the right candidate.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person who is well-presented with experience of working with people.
The job will involve till work, stocking up, enhancing the customers visit by being able to talk about products and answer questions, and general cleaning duties.
The Garlic Farm is in a beautiful location overlooking the Arreton Valley and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year and is open daily year-round. The Garlic Farm brand is also well recognised across the country thanks to our garlic produce and wide range of Garlic Farm branded products which are sold countrywide.

We have a great full-time permanent team here at The Garlic Farm as we are open year-round so you will have the opportunity to settle in amongst a knowledgeable and supportive team.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Fully flexible and able to work any day of the week determined by rota, including weekends
- Able to pick up extra shifts to cover sickness and holiday
- Physically fit as some heavy lifting involved
- Able to get to The Garlic Farm without public transport
- Able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Confident in talking to customers.
